Every year, Sand Sculpting Australia whip up a real treat for Mornignton Peninsula residents with a display of creative prowess on the foreshore at Frankston Beach. This year’s theme was Creepy Crawlies so with some trepidation, we tip-toed quietly through the entrance to see what was in store.
Here’s a run down of what we saw:

Just to really blow your mind, last summer there were some fantastic sand sculptures in THE HAGUE – go figure!

I went to Weymouth a few years back, there's a few good beaches in the area plus Portland Bill Lighthouse and Corfe Castle nearby.
The sculptures really are on a much smaller scale than the ones in your piccies though.

Wow guys…Weymouth huh? Not ever been there but will make a 'note to self' to have a squiz if I'm ever in the area. Anything else to recommend it?

Some of these are really good, it must take real talent to do this.
I was about to mention Weymouth as well. Though not on the same scale, it's certainly worth a look.

I grew up in Weymouth Dorset where there have been sand sculptures every Summer since the 1920s. They were a delight for us local and the many tourists alike. http://www.sculpturesinsand.com/history.html
